Holes

This summer I read many books but this one stands out.  Why you might ask, I will try to tell you the best I can without giving away the ending.  Life struggles seem very unfair  but specially for our main character Stanley Yelnats.  So bad in fact he believes he is under a curse.  A curse that began with is great-great-grandfather, a pig and an Egyptian woman.  What kind of mess did this grandfather get into and why did it land Stanley in a boys' detention center building character by spending every day digging holes exactly five feet wide and five feet deep?
